Basically Ayurveda is not any new practice developed by some dietitian or physician, it is one of the most ancient way of living which covers almost all the aspects of life, what types food combination is good for our body what types of food combination is not good for our body, what types of food should be eaten according to time and season, how to take bath, how to brush your teeth, how to massage scalp and your face for better appearance, how to take care of your oral health, how to avoid falling sick due to weather changes, how to maintain acid, base and salt balance of our body, and many more which we will discuss later step by step. According to Johns Hopkins Medicine, meditation and mindful routines may help reduce stress and improve overall wellness.
After knowing these many things, we should not have any doubt. We need to start. Also, I would like to tell you that I am not a promoter of Ayurveda; it is just that I personally follow it, and I feel it really helps, hence just sharing my personal routine with you so that you can also benefit from this.
Now, let’s start with the daily routine for working professionals designed to keep Ayurveda in mind.
Morning Ayurveda Daily Routine
According to Ayurveda the best time to wake-up is from 3 AM to 6 AM, basically before sunrise or with sunrise, it is actually linked with our body mechanism and our universe, according to Ayurveda this time is considered as Brahma muhrat which means auspicious time, at this time our atmosphere is filled with high and positive vibration hence this time is also considered as time of pure consciousness, if we manage to wake-up at this time we will fill our body and mind with positive energy which will stay with us throughout the day and will keep us motivated and energized, whatever work we do will be full of positivity and the success is fix. This is related with our body Biology and the temperature of it, during different timing of the day our-body is filled with different types of elements and it function accordingly, these are basically divided into three categories, known as kapha, Vata and Pitta these three have different nature and are responsible for different functions in our body, unbalance of any of these three cause disease in our body, the early morning hours fall under vata dosh, which is light subtle and mobile in nature, hence rising in this window support easily wake-up, creativity and inspiration. Early wake-up regulates the body’s fire Agni and prepares the body for better digestion and metabolism.
After waking up just have 1 glass of water kept in copper jar overnight, it is like nectar for our body after that do oil pulling with virgin oil, sesame or coconut, then do some yoga, after that if time allow you can read something related to your career growth then take bath, do not forget to do nasal and naval oiling before bathing finally after having some good breakfast according to season, you are ready to step out and conquer the world.
Tips for Breakfast as per Ayurveda: Breakfast should be light, mostly fruits, sprouts, or juice.
Afternoon Ayurveda Daily Routine
At this time we are in office and almost utilized half of our energy, because the morning meeting is for sure the hectic and overwhelming one, but no worry Zen algorithms has got your back, what we need to do at this time to refill out energy is to get up from our chair and take a 5 minutes walk down the office maybe in the garden after that we can do two to three Mudra practices by seating in calm place and focusing on our breath after that we are ready to take out healthy home made lunch. For lunch, if you are eating salad, try to finish it before starting with the main meal, and after completing the main mean try to end it with butter milk. After the lunch is over avoid smoking because at this time our fire components is high and smoking will increase the acidity in our body, just after meal smoking is more dangerous because the fire element which arises in our body to process the food is hindered by the smoke, also during mean it is not advised to have too much of water or just after the meal it is also not that good to drink too much water because it will exhaust the fire elements and will cause acidity.
Evening Ayurveda Routine for Relaxation
This is the time when you come back to home from office and almost exhausted because it depends on, how your day was, hence at this time we need something which can recharge us immediately and for this the first thing you can do is to change clothes, freshen up make yourself comfortable, make green tea or black coffee, have with some healthy snacks, after this you can do things of your hobby either it is gardening, walking with your pet, playing tennis or badminton. This will help you relieve yourself mentally from the office. After that, taking a cold shower followed by 10 minutes of meditation, it will refill your evening with joy and positivity, and after that, you can prepare yourself for a wonderful night.
Bedtime Yoga and Daily Affirmations
This is the time that decides how your next day will be, hence Ayurveda gives quite attention to our night routine. It is suggested to have Dinner 1-2 hours before going to bed. After dinner, it is advised to take a walk, and then we can go to sleep. Before sleeping, it is a must to do some basic yoga in bed and our daily affirmation.

This is the simple routine no hectic rules no fancy routine, just basic day-to-day life efforts/actions which can be done very easily without any extra efforts, Ayurveda mainly focus on our body’s three elements known as kapha, vata, and Pitt, these three elements are known as acid, base and salt which is responsible to keep our body in healthy state, excess or lack of any of these elements causes disease and weaken our body, hence for a proper lifestyle it is advisable to keep the balance of these elements,hence just following few basic principles of Ayurveda will help you to achieve the best health,this is not something which can be done by making extra time,for example if Ayurveda says do not drink your water just after the meal,it is not asking to do something extra which will take time or need preparation simply drink water after 1 hour of the meal that’s it,or if Ayurveda tells you to chew your water and drink your food it is also not a very big thing it is all about being conscious towards our eating, proper chewing of food helps it to digest properly, hence start making small efforts,start taking small steps and make your life Powered by Ayurveda and driven by healthiest body and mind.
